Our story began when founder Charles Goyer, a young PhD candidate, began to discover wine as it relates to yeast genetics. Charles launched a tasting club in 1989, which led to the founding of ‘La Céleste Levure’. Goyer and his wife Sylvie espoused family values and were insistent on uncompromising integrity; today, these values remain central to Céleste Vins et Spiritueux.
While La Céleste was initially focused on California and Rhône regions, Goyer and his team carefully selected and added a variety of other regions that delivered great value and potential.
La Céleste has always focused on authentic, distinctive, high quality wines. We target consumers much like ourselves: eager to explore the world of wine. While our product range has diversified over the past 20 years, we have always aimed to offer wines that we are proud to represent and are excited to serve to our own friends and family. The Céleste seal remains a pledge of integrity and pleasure without compromise.
